Whizz Through the Weekend

I had a pretty much awesome weekend, and I hope you guys did too!
Highlight of the weekend, I finally went to develop my first roll of fisheye film. And I learning the conditions that I should be shooting the photos in. Clearly, bright sunlight is the way to go. Unfortunatly, some pictures did not come out at all as they were waaay too dark. Here are my favourites :)

Thanks to Ms Cher, I also made a trip to the museum for the Egyptian exhibit. It was much smaller than expected but I always like the Singapore National Museum. There's something about the building that's just charming. What I was really impressed with was the history galleries. I actually learned alot about our very short history, and it was a very enjoyable experience as all forms of media were used to their best. Short films, oral history, and brilliant decoration. I was thrilled to see a report card from SCGS (my alma mata), in the section on the years when girls first started attending school.

And then there was YA Blast, which was a Blast :)

Blindfolded 3 man soccer. Penalty Kick!

Awesome weekend!

I love you guys!

After an awesome (but very cold) morning of wakeboarding in the rain, it was nice to enjoy warm friendship.

Food for thought was lovely!

I wish i was there

I remember that trip almost 5 years ago. We were young, carefree students on summer vacation. We took that trip to the idyllic little island. Stayed in mud huts with the mosquitoes and showered in cold water. Treked through the jungle in rubber slippers. Climbed sheer cliffs over sparkling turquoise waters. Sipped coconut shakes on the beach. Sat on the swing tied to the old tree.

I wish I was there. 1 comments

I'm am so glad it is finally Friday.
It has been a ridiculously long week for me, with things constantly being added on to my to-do and to-watch lists. Thank God for great parents who give me the space to brood at home and wake up early to prepare lunch for me so that I can work through lunch. Aren't parents amazing?

My parents hard at work, making life easy for the rest of us.

How has the week been for the rest of you? 0 comments

Villianville

The theme of this year's dinner and dance was Villianville and we were all decked out in our villianous best! Halloween came early this year.

This week has been no fun at all.
My cam has been hiding in my bag all week due to the lack of anything photo-worthy.

I need a perk-me-up.
I'm dreaming of another beach retreat.

No-bake Blueberry Cheesecake

Saturday was my dad's birthday, so I tried making a no-bake cheesecake for him.

Based on my little memory of making cheesecakes during my hostel days, I whipped up a blueberry cheesecake which tasted heavenly, though not very cake-ish. The recipe is below if you would like to try it.

Ingredients

Crust:
8 butter cookies or any other biscuits you have at home
1tbsp butter

Filling:
1pkg Philadelphia Cream Cheese
2tbsp Cream (I used the Bulla type that comes in small cups)
6tsp Sugar
1tbsp berry flavoured yogurt
4tsp blueberry jam

crush the cookies and mix in the butter. (i used a simple fork and bowl to crush and mix. you can put the butter and cookies into a food processor, which gives you the same results alot faster, but with more washing)

press the crust mix into your serving bowl

whisk the cream cheese, cream, sugar and yogurt together. I was lazy and used a handmixer.

fold in the blueberry jam

spread the filling evenly on top of the crust. refrigerate for at least 30min 0 comments
